Director's Notes

When I first read Hay Fever, it was with a view to playing the part of Judith Bliss, Anne Chadwick was my lovely daughter, Sorel and Ted Wadsworth directed. I was captivated by the play and the part.
Anne is now playing Judith and I am directing - I am following in great footsteps.

"The costumes, the scenery, the lighting, the props"; * what a great team I have had. Nigel has designed me some wonderful sets over the years; I think this is one of his finest. And this has been complemented by some wonderful designs by Noreen Lobo.

In these days of greedy politicians, unemployment and unsafe streets, it has been a joy to escape into the glamorous world of Noël Coward.

We hope that you too will enter into his world and enjoy Hay Fever.

My grateful thanks go to Chris Broughton for playing and recording the piano music used in this production.
