Dear Member,

Once again your committee is asking for your help in connection with our request for assistance in running our Club.

It is a sad fact that fewer people can give full time involvement in the day to day carrying out of all the many jobs to be done other than appearing in our plays.

We feel that if a number of our members could give say, a couple of hours per week in helping with set building, get in and get out at the Mechanics, etc., this would assist the few officers and committee to reduce their punishing work load.

At the present time we require three new committee members, our treasurer has intimated that this is his last season in office, and our secretary and vice chairman have found it necessary to resign.

In addition to the presentation of six plays each season we are currently looking at developing our club in the pursuit of excellence and meetings will be arranged to which you are cordially invited. (Next meeting on 29.01.02 at Haggate - 7.30 p.m.)

Please take this request very seriously as we shall no doubt need to consider a reduction of plays in the future if we are unsuccessful in obtaining the assistance we require.

A telephone call to any committee member or to the Chairman (01282- 428012) will be gratefully received and will assist us to decide how your particular skills can be used to maintain our current high standards as the foremost play theatre group in East Lancashire.

Clifford Spencer. Chairman
